Alex on Aspen Ridge Ranch Age-14
The last time I went to beautiful Aspen Ridge Ranch up in Red Lodge, Montana I saw a Montgomery Gentry concert with special guest, The Lost Trailers. I’m not a very big country music fan but I really loved the concert. It was so exciting and everyone around me was so hyped up on the music and energy. Adrenaline rushed through my veins when my ears heard the music blasting through the speakers. People around me were screaming the lyrics and dancing in place. It was as if God Himself gave everyone an energy drink and wanted to see what would happen. Everywhere I looked I saw smiles and even though the concert was at night and brightly lit, it seemed each smile brightened the area around them. I remember this concert so clearly but I don’t remember the names of the songs, as I don’t really listen to country. But that night I remember seeing the moon, and it was so big and beautiful just calmly floating there, like it couldn’t hear the music or feel the adrenaline.
I will always remember that concert, and even now I feel like it was just yesterday. I also got to ride one of the Aspen Ridge Ranch horses and trotted across the property into the sunset. What a magical two days!
